Powers (Must be approved by a mod first): Elektra has occasionally demonstrated low-level telekinesis, though it is possible that this may be just illusion which victims of her mesmerism are led to see. She can communicate telepathically with individuals possessing similar levels of mental discipline, such as the Chaste.

Abilities: Elektra possesses peak human levels of strenght, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, etc. She is an expert in Ninjutsu and various other martial arts, as well as gymnastics. She is a mistress of the skills of the ancient Ninja warriors of Japan.

Elektra has numerous abilities which border on the superhuman. She can control her own autonomic nervous system to a degree, controlling bleeding, fighting infection, etc. She is able to keep to the shadows and move with such speed that she can remain unseen even in broad daylight. She also has demonstrated on occasion the ability to mesmerize others, and as such make them see illusions or other phenomena.
Weapons (if applies): Elektra is highly proficient with such weaponry as long swords, shuriken (throwing stars), and especially the sai, a special three-pronged dagger. In addition, Elektra is experienced with a variety of firearms, explosives, and even anti-tank or aircraft artillery.


History: Elektra's father, Hugo, was a young Greek ambassador, embarassed by his wife's affection towards other men. When Christina became pregnant, both Hugo and his son, Orestez, a young man at the time, suspected that Hugo was not the father. Infuriated, Orestez hired men to kill Christina. Shortly before noon, August 13th, a helicopter flew over the vacationing Hugo and Christina, firing down upon them. Though Christina was the target of the attack, Hugo was shot as well. Hugo recovered, but Christina only survived long enough to give birth to her daughter. After medical tests proved that he was the father after all, Hugo accepted the baby, naming her Elektra. Guilt over injuring his father drove Orestez away from his family.

Elektra attended parochial school where, despite her high intelligence, she received poor grades. She spent much time under psychiatric evalutaion. At the age of nine, her dog Agamemnon was slain by men who had planned to assault her. Elektra was saved by Orestez, now a grown man who had developed into a skilled martial artist. The very next day, Elektra began martial arts training under a Japanese sensei, achieving a black belt by age twelve.

While living in the United States with her father, she attended Columbia University, carefully watched over by bodyguards Athos and Stavros. At the age of nineteen she met Matt Murdock; the two found they shared a thirst for danger and adventure. Because of her father's overprotective nature, Elektra and Matt were forced to meet in secret, their clandestine meetings only serving to fuel their passions. Elektra was plagued by dark voices that spurred her to violence, which she was able to contain only by taking out her impulses on criminals that she felt deserved punishment.

A year later, Elektra and her father were held hostage in a building on campus. A disguised Matt defeated the terrorists with Elektra's help, but a police officer outside the building mistook Hugo Natchios for one of the terrorists and shot him dead. Unable to bear the pain of the loss, and fearing that she would be overwhelmed by her own dark voices, Elektra fled, leaving behind a heartbroken Matt. Before she left the United States, she tracked down and confronted the man who had arranged the assault that led to her father's death. Despite her skills, Elektra was defeated by the man and his bodyguard, but she was saved by a sai hurled from the shadows. Elektra believed that the sai was thrown by Stick, who had appeared and advised her in the past, but it was actually hurled by an agent of the Hand. Impressed by the weapon, Elektra decided to make it her own.

Searching for meaning in her life, Elektra made her way to Japan. Her sensei knew even his best efforts could not help Elektra, so he suggested she seek out the Chaste, a clan of warriors led by Stick. Elektra excelled at all disciplines and hoped to become the eighth member of the order. However, Stick recognized the pain and hatred that still burned within her. To preserve the group's purity, he forced Elektra to leave the Chaste.

Determined to prove her worthiness, Elektra planned to infiltrate the Hand, the ninja cult that had been at war with the Chaste for many years, and defeat them from within. The Hand proposed a test, tricking Elektra into killing her former sensei. Elektra's already fragile psyche was shattered. The Hand took advantage of her state of mind and trained her to become one of their greatest warriors. Still, they were unable to completely turn her to their ways. Elektra broke free of their control and fled Japan, but she was forever tainted by the darkness of the Hand.

Elektra became an assassin-for-hire, selling herself to the highest bidder. She was hired to kill Carlos Huevos, the dictator of San Concepcion, a small South American country. Her success brought her to the attention of the S.H.I.E.L.D. (Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division), which sent two agents - John Garrett and Arthur Perry - to determine the assassin's identity. The United States sent its own ambassador, Reich, upon whom Elektra discovered the stench of the Beast, the powerful being that controlled the Hand.

Elektra slew Reich, only to discover that the Beast had switched hosts and now possessed Ken Wind, a U.S. presidential candidate. Elektra used her skills to manipulate Garrett into assisting her, managing to thwart S.H.I.E.L.D. and to kill Wind, but Garrett was wounded in the process. To ease his pain, Elektra made Garrett believe he had switched bodies with Wind and become president. As Elektra escaped, Garrett was taken back to S.H.I.E.L.D., his dream preserved while he lay in stasis.

Elektra was hired to stop a man from killing von Eisenbluth, a Nazi war criminal who had experimented on and tortured the man's family. Elektra distracted the man, and the elderly, crippled von Eisenbluth shot him dead. However, after hearing von Eisenbluth's anti-Semitic remarks, Elektra killed him herself.

Years later, Elektra accepted a contract in New York City, finally crossing paths with Daredevil, whom she quickly learned was Matt Murdock. Matt vehemently disapproved of Elektra's profession while Elektra refused to abandon her chosen way of life. Lovers became enemies, and enemies became fierce combatants. The two still cared deeply for each other, but as far as Elektra was concerned, their love had been murdered along with her father.

The Kingpin hired Elektra as his chief assassin, eventually sending her to kill Franklin "Foggy" Nelson. When Foggy recognized her as Matt's old girlfriend, though, she could not bring herself to complete the assignment. Bullseye, seeking to regain his position as the Kingpin's chief assassin, ambushed Elektra. After an epic battle, Bullseye impaled Elektra on one of her own sais. Mortally wounded, Elektra crawled to Matt's apartment. She died in her former lover's arms.

However, after losing their master warrior Kirigi in battle, the Hand decided that resurrecting Elektra would afford them an edge in their ongoing battle with the Chaste. They exhumed her body and were in the midst of a resurrection ceremony when Daredevil, the Black Widow and Stone (a member of the Chaste) arrived and stopped them. During the battle, Daredevil tried to complete the resurrection using techniques he once saw Stick employ. He believed he was unsuccessful, but Stone saw that Daredevil had somehow cleansed Elektra's soul, purifying her spirit. He secretly took Elektra's body back to the Chaste's mountain retreat to complete the resurrection process.

Now alive and pure once more, Elektra became a member of the Chaste, remaining on their mountain for years. Later, the ninja clan known as the Snakeroot stole John Garrett from S.H.I.E.L.D. From his mind and memories they distilled Elektra's dark essence, using it to create their own warrior, Erynys. Stone and Elektra left the mountain retreat and managed to defeat Erynys while she was battling Daredevil. In the process, however, the dark essence returned to Elektra. Because she was again impure, the Chaste could not let Elektra return to their order.

Returning to the only career she knew, Elektra was hired by a man named Kiefer to kill scientist Daniel Connor. She did so successfully, but the murder was witnessed by Connor's young teenage daughter, Avery. Taking the girl with her, Elektra learned that Avery had actually been genetically engineered from Wolverine's DNA, and that her parents had been charting her progress. When Avery's parents attempted to escape their superior, Kiefer, had ordered their deaths. With the aid of Wolverine, Elektra slew Kiefer and arranged for Avery and her repentant mother, Veronica, to establish new lives, hidden from further intrusions.

Tekagi, who had worked closely with Elektra during her time with the Hand, became the new leader of the Snakeroot. Tekagi had to purify his clan's sword, Sakki, with the blood of three innocent victims to regain the power the group once held. Elektra learned of the Snakeroot's plans and set out to form her own order, or Ryu, made up of her recruits Impact, Lynch, Masquerade, Niko, Salvo, and Target. Elektra's "Army of Stealth" attempted to stop the Snakeroot from claiming its targets - Father Peter Nova, Navajo activist Singer Tsilkali, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aaron Sokoto. Elektra's order did not fare well, and all her new recruits died in battle. Fighting alone, Elektra saved the Snakeroot's final target and killed Takegi with the clan's sword, essentially destroying the Snakeroot in the process.

Elektra helped Wolverine recover from his descent into bestial madness after Magneto tore the Adamantium metal from his body. She found camaraderie with dance instructor Konrad Weiss, and in the Dojo of King Lau and McKinley Stewart (who became her lover). She was targeted again by Bullseye, but this time she defeated him. She acted as guardian to young Nina McCabe after her father was killed. Elektra also briefly became tangled in the plot of the being known only as the Architect, last of the mysterious Shining Ones. She fought a string of would-be assassins, as well as the Four Winds, the American Samurai, the Silencer, and Kuroyama, a warrior of the Hand, who slew Nina and resurrected her as one of their own.

Once more an assassin-for-hire, Elektra was hired by the next incarnation of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate) to kill Saddam Abed Dasam, the leader of Iraq, and retrieve a box in his possession. She succeeded in retrieving the box's contents - the powerful Scorpio Key - but refused to hand it over to anyone, especially the S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead, Elektra captured the police officer responsible for killing her father years before. Because the two shared an intimate bond of tragedy, she entrusted the box and the key that it held to him, knowing that he would keep it safe.

After assisting sexual assault victim Ione Katamides in gaining vengeance on her attackers, Elektra encountered the Hand once again. Led by Takashi, the Hand sought to use basketball star and political hopeful Lyle Crawford. Elektra was guided to oppose this by the spirit of Lyle's dead father, jazz musician "Black Cat" Buddy Crawford, who had been killed by the Hand years before. Ultimately, Elektra decapitated Lyle before he could be transformed into the Earthly incarnation of the Hand's Beast.

Elektra encountered Jeremy Locke, a member of the Coalition, a group of people who sought revenge against her for killing their loved ones. Managing to drug and capture Elektra, Locke attempted to make her understand the consequences of her actions and abandon her long cycle of violence. The rest of the Coalition sought to kill Elektra, but she slew most of them instead. However, Locke had successfully reached Elektra, and she returned to him for help. Locke's assistant, Carson, recuited his friend, the female sensei Drake, to help Elektra break her addiction to violence. Upon their first meeting, Drake easily bested Elektra in a quick sparring match. Through Drake's training, Elektra learned the proper path. For once, her life had meaning.

The Hand, meanwhile, was angered that someone had been influencing Elektra whom they still considered to be their warrior. They slew the remaining members of the Coalition, except Locke, whom they kidnapped. After the Hand poisoned and killed Drake, Elektra agreed to meet the Hand to save Locke. To kill the final agent of the Hand, Elektra plunged her sword into him straight through Locke, killing them both and restarting her personal cycle of violence.

Once more, Elektra began to travel the world, assassinating the likes of Leonard Prebble, corrupt Djanda president Bridget Hapanmyas, and her own employers when they attempted to betray her. She once spent a week killing the Punisher's targets before he could. When the two finally met up, she told him that she had done it because she was bored. Intrigued, the Punisher asked her out on a date.

On an adventure to the nation of Naou, she was hired to kill the Piaka Loio (the Bloody Prophet), allegedly a reincarnation of the death god Bara. Elektra slaughtered the Prophet's followers, but upon learning that the Prophet was actually a small child, she allowed him to live. She did eliminate all evidence of the child's ever having been the Prophet, knowing no one would believe him.

Returning to the USA, Elektra was hired by Evgeny Bezzubenkov to kill his Russian mobster father Urishka so that he could succeed him. In the process, Elektra suffered from a severe flu she had contracted in Naou. While dazed and feverish, Elektra had a vision of the god Bara, during which time she believed herself to be fighting for her life against the death god while she was actually slaying both Urishka and Evgeny. Subsequently, she visited her own grave where she encountered Daredevil again. Feeling there was no longer any existing relationship between them, Elektra fled.

Without a sensei, without purpose, Elektra remains an assassin - one who knows exactly what it feels like to die every time she takes a life. She is a shadow, unseen untile the moment she chooses to reveal herself. Her life is one of seclusion, world travel, cover identities, disguises, and an ongoing inner battle that takes a toll as severe as the world of violence, blood and death in which she lives.

++ History and Crap++

John Constantine was born on the 10th May, 1953 to a Thomas and Mary Anne Constantine, John’s life however was ruined as soon as he was born, due to his mother’s death, during Labour. His father hated Constantine for an unknown reason, making John’s life hell. Due to living in working class Liverpool, it was hard to survive and such, especially when John’s father was sent to jail for six months in the early sixties for stealing a pair of woman’s underwear, However John and his older Sister Cheryl were sent to Northampton to live with their Aunt Dolly and Uncle Harry. However in these years while John was just under the age of ten was he responsible for yet another death.
While John was out in a nearby playing field, the boy found a Half buried dead boy, searching the carcass he found what seemed to be a fossilised ‘Heart’, however after a few months John realised that the ‘heart’ itself was changing his attitude to everything, he became a lot more annoyed and angry at anybody he knew, becoming violent to everyone who came across him. Deciding that he knew it was the stone, he threw it into a nearby quarry, however Constantine’s once bad aim got the better of him and smashed into the roof of a old shack of which was inhabited by a tramp. Piercing the tramps skull and killing him.
At the age of fourteen, Constantine had started to develop a interest in the Occult, reading any books he could get hold of , John however was expelled from school while, during an assembly decided to start shouting out things like ‘Out, demons out!’ . His father however, had started to get annoyed with john’s doings and threw all of John’s occult books in a fire, it was then that john Constantine had started to use magic. After the fire John decided to go through it and look for any of the books that may have not been devoured by the flame. He managed to acquire a few of the books and decided to get revenge upon Thomas his father, A perfect spell to young John Constantine was one that would curse him to waste away and die a slow and painful death. But, to do so, John needed to kill his next door neighbour’s cat. Soon after he had completed the spell, John’s father ‘mysteriously’ began to get ill and waste away, just like the spell had been said to do so.
With his father near death, John started to panic trying to find an anti-spell that could make his father live for longer than the spell guaranteed. However John, acting from desperation and worry he dug back up the rotting corpse and stuck it in a jar of formaldehyde. Ever so luckily, John’s intelligence saved him for once, his father’s condition stopping, but not getting better he was still able to live.
Soon enough he was back living in London, but this time with his best mate ‘Chas Chandler’, soon after that John and an old friend ‘Gary Lester’ the band itself was called ‘The Mucous Membrane’ and was apparently the worst thing John had decided to do to his life. The band obviously was crap. While Constantine was in concert his sister ‘Cheryl’ was giving birth to her first child named ‘Gemma’.
A few months after giving up with the band, John returned to where his first gig was held, the Casanova club, after strange occurrences that had been happening there. John, however found the reason for the odd behaviour of everyone around the club to be caused by a ‘fear elemental’ of which he disposed of as well as a young girl and the club itself.
Constantine however was driven mad by the happenings in the Casanova club and was sent to ravenscar secure facility for the mentally deranged.. The staff actually believed Constantine was a child murderer, but luckily Constantine got out thanks to a ‘Harry Cooper’ of who wanted him to bring back his own son.
In his lifetime Constantine has blackmailed both the devil and god into doing his own bidding.

John looks like your average human, blonde coloured hair and dark hazel coloured eyes, He is often found wearing his old baggy trenchcoat and a pair of trousers, sometimes he may be dressed in a suit, but to be perfectly honest it’s probably the most rare out of the two, Constantine himself has become quite a grumpy sod, arguing with his ‘best mate’ Chas a lot of the time. He is rarely ‘kind or ‘friendly’ towards others especially when he has been drinking. He won’t stop smoking, and is hardly ever seen without a ‘ciggy’. Depending on how well he knows you, or how much he hates you depend on who or /what/ you are.

History:Mary Jane is Peter's girlfriend, a relationship which was in doubt for some time, but which appears once more to have at least a fighting chance of surviving. Peter first met Mary Jane in Amazing Spider-Man #42, although we as readers were given hints about her as early as Amazing Spider-Man #25. Mary Jane was born in Pennsylvania to an unstable home. Her father was abusive, and her mother fled with her and her sister. They moved from home to home of various relatives. Her favorite relative was her Aunt Anna Watson in New York City. When her mother passed away, and her sister left raising two boys on her own, MJ abandoned her sister in Pittsburg, and moved to New York with her aunt. In the graphic novel Parallel Lives and in Untold Tales of Spider-Man #16, it was revealed that Mary Jane knew of Peter Parker's alter- ego since the day Uncle Ben died. She witnessed Spider-Man crawling out of his window as he pursued the burglar who had murdered his uncle. She didn't meet Peter face-to-face until their aunts finally arranged a successful date (that Peter had been dodging). On their exciting first date, they rode into Manhattan to catch the action as the Rhino was wrecking havoc. Of course, Peter pulled his first disappearing act in the relationship, giving Mary Jane time to practice her acting skills pretending she didn't know where he went. Unable to deal with the confusing secret life of Peter, she chose to act as if she didn't know, and simply play the part of a party animal. While Peter was at college, Mary Jane dated Harry Osborn while Peter dated Gwen Stacy. MJ was a relentless flirt with Peter, despite being with Harry. Mary Jane broke up with Harry, shortly before Harry's drug problems in Amazing Spider-Man #96 and following.
After Gwen's death in Amazing Spider-Man #122, Mary Jane finally demonstrated some genuine compassion, as she chose to stay with Peter and grieve together. After some time of healing, Peter and Mary Jane eventually became a regular couple, although his life as Spider-Man often interrupted their plans. MJ even dated Flash Thompson to make Peter jealous. Peter eventually proposed to Mary Jane in Amazing Spider-Man #182; however MJ declined, saying that she wasn't the sort of girl who could be happy with just one man. Shortly after, Mary Jane took a leave of absence from the Spider-Man comics, during which time Peter dated several different women( primarily Deborah Whitman, and The Black Cat).

Orphaned as a little girl by a suicidal mother and an alcoholic father, Selina Kyle spent time in a state home for girls before escaping an abusive headmistress to live in Gotham City. Vowing never to go hungry or wanting again, Kyle used her natural acrobatic skills and keen wits to become the most accomplished thief Gotham has ever known. As Catwoman, Selina's deeds have not escaped the Batman's notice, though she has continually eluded capture by remaining one step ahead of the Dark Knight and Gotham's law enforcement.

Catwoman is no altruist, though she has fought the good fight on occasion and worked on the side of angels. If she does the "right" thing, it is usually by her own design, and only if it suits her own whims or that of her purse strings. At least that's the story she's sticking to.

Balthazar is one of Satan’s emissaries, under that sleak and cool Armani dressed cover, throbs a heart of the filthy half-blooded demon. Balthazar moves easily from officebuilding to another, from one boardmeeting to another to the busy streets downtown, with his true character hidden from the peoples eyes. Only Constantine can see his true nature but Balthazar is convinced that he will see Constantine in hell very soon and he is gonna enjoy that moment.

Powers: Pyro, is invulnerable to any fire that is under his Mental Control and has the psionic ability to cause any fire to grow in size and intensity and to take any form he wishes it to. He can manipulate fire into any form he wishes, the flames have greater solidity than a normal flame. The degree of Pyro’s concentration necessary to manipulate a flame being is proportional due to the beings size, powers and flame. However Pyro can be harmed by any flame he does not mentally control, also any of his creations will be destroyed if he takes interest away from them.
Weapons: (Rarely) A flame-thrower that can throw a stream of flame a maximum distance of 25 feet
History: John Allerdyce was born and raised in Australia. His powers emerged at puberty, but since he could not think of a way to use them for profit, for years he did not use them except in emergencies. For a time, Allerdyce drifted from job to job around the South Seas. Eventually, he became a journalist for an Australian wire service and covered Viet Nam and Indonesia. What he saw and experienced in his travels became the basis for novels he began writing. (He also wrote torrid Gothic romances.) Allerdyce's novels were despised by serious novelists and the critics, but they found wide readership throughout the English-speaking world. Under circumstances that have yet to be revealed, Allerdyce met the mutant called Mystique, who learned of his mutant powers. As a result, Allerdyce joined her new version of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants under the name of Pyro.

Months later, Mystique's Brotherhood, renamed Freedom Force, entered the employ of the United States government, which pardoned its members for their past crimes. After several missions for Freedom Force, which brought Allerdyce and his comrades into conflict with various super powered crime fighters, the U.S. government disbanded the group.

Pyro resurfaced as a member of another version of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, headed up the X-Men's old foe (and member of the original Brotherhood) the Toad. This group went up against the fledgling mutant team X-Force and met defeat.

Recently, Pyro discovered that he had contracted the Legacy Virus, a terminal illness that affects mutants. (One effect of the Virus is that Pyro now seems to be unable to shut off completely any flames that may surround his body.) At first he sought help from the millionaire Jonathan Chambers, alias Empyrean, but Chambers was using his own powers to drain Pyro's energies. Wanting to go out in a blaze of glory rather than die a slow death in bed, Pyro committed a spectacular crime that brought him into conflict with the costumed crimefighter Daredevil. Pyro narrowly escaped being killed in a burning building at the end of this encounter. Mystique later recruited Pyro to prevent the assassination of her son, Presidential candidate Graydon Creed, but he failed.

Recently, Pyro robbed a New York City bank to get money to pay a scientist who claimed he could cure him by removing his mutant genes. In the course of the robbery Pyro was shot several times in the abdomen. He was taken to a nearby hospital where Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a surgeon who was a mutant and had recently joined the X-Men, operated on him. History: Jean Grey is a comic book superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. She has used the code names Marvel Girl and Phoenix during her career, and is a member of the X-Men. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, she first appeared in X-Men #1 (1963).

Jean Grey is a mutant born with the abilities of telepathy and telekinesis.

Fictional biography
As a teenager, she began attending Professor Charles Xavier's "school for gifted youngsters" and joined the X-Men under the name of Marvel Girl. During her tenure there, she fell in love with Cyclops.

Following a mission in space, Grey attempted to pilot a shuttle back to Earth during one of the worst solar storms in history. The shuttle was unshielded and Grey would have died were it not for the intervention of the cosmic entity known as the Phoenix force. Though at the time it was believed (and the storyline meant it to be) that the Phoenix imbued Jean with vast cosmic powers, this was later retconned that she was actually placed into a coma in a cocoon in Jamaica Bay and the Phoenix adopted her identity as a heroine.

Phoenix believed herself to be Grey, and she and Cyclops continued their relationship, until Phoenix lost control of her powers, and eventually committed suicide. The Dark Phoenix Saga, the lengthy story of the decline and fall of Phoenix, by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, is regarded as one of the best comics stories of the 1970s.

Grey's survival was revealed when the original X-Men formed X-Factor, which she joined when she emerged from her coma. Cyclops, in the meantime, had married her double (later revealed as her clone), Madelyne Pryor. Pryor joined her creator, Mister Sinister, as the villainous Goblin Queen, and herself died sometime after the founding of X-Factor.

As a result, Cyclops and Grey were able to resume their relationship, and eventually married. Shortly thereafter, she resumed using the name Phoenix as an attempt to redeem both the entity and herself in her mind, and also to honor her "daughter" from a future parallel world, Rachel Summers, who at the time was believed to be dead. Later, she assumed the role of the Headmistress of the Xavier Institute .

However, a combination of her new duties as headmistress, her re-emerging Phoenix powers, and Scott's temporary merger with the evil mutant Apocalypse, drove a wedge between Grey and Cyclops. Emma Frost took advantage of this, initiating an affair with Cyclops, and then falling in love with him. This led to Cyclops briefly walking out on both Jean and the X-Men. Upon his return, someone in the guise of Magneto attacked the X-Men, and killed Grey.

In a dark future 150 years down the line, Grey is revived as an even more powerful version of Phoenix. While she removed that possible future from existence, it is not clear whether Grey is still "alive" in any sense in the present.

In the X-Men film and its sequel X2, Grey was portrayed by Famke Janssen.

Also, in the animated TV series X-Men: Evolution Jean was voiced by Venus Terzo .

Known superhuman powers: Shadowcat possesses the ability to pass through solid matter by passing her atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she is moving. In this way she and the object through which she is passing can temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed when Shadowcat has finished passing through the object. This process is called "phasing." When Shadowcat is phasing, she is, for all intents ad purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, she can shift into a "phasing" state (even if she is not at the time passing through an object) so as to allow oncoming projectiles or energy blasts to pass through her harmlessly. While phasing Shadowcat is still vulnerable to psionic or mystical attack, however.

Shadowcat passes through objects at the same rate of speed at which she is moving before she "enters" it. Since she is unable to breathe while "inside" an object, she can only continuously phase through solid objects (as when she travels underground) as long as she can hold her breath.

Shadowcat can phase through any material object, even living people. When she phases through an object with an electrical system, the process disrupts the system's workings. She has trained herself to go automatically, by reflex, into a phasing state at any indication of danger, such as a loud noise like a gunshot, in order to protect herself.

Using her phasing ability, Shadowcat can walk on air. In fact, she can use her ability to walk on the air from the ground to the upper stories of a building as if she were climbing a staircase.

From the first use of her phasing power, Shadowcat has been able to phase her clothing along with herself. Through practice she has learned to phase other objects along with herself without harm to them, and can now phase a living person as big as her teammate Colossus along with herself. She can also enable someone as big as Colossus to "walk on air" along with her. However, she must maintain physical contact with the person or object she phases along herself for the effect to work with this other person or object.

History-

Katherine "Kitty" Pryde was a thirteen-and-a-half year old girl living in Deerfield, Illinois who led a normal life but then began suffering headaches of steadily increasing frequency, duration, and intensity. Unknown to her or her parents, the headaches were a result of her mutant power emerging.
Meanwhile, Professor Charles Xavier, founder of the X-Men, a team of mutant adventurers whom he trained in the use of their superhuman powers, located Kitty with his device for finding superhuman mutants, Cerebro. He and three of the X-Men, Colossus, Storm, and Wolverine, set out for Deerfield to contact her and possibly recruit her as a member of the X-Men. Unknown to Xavier, the mercenary Warhawk had planted a device that enabled his employers in the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club to monitor Cerebro's activities. The Inner Circle thus also learned about Kitty Pryde, and one of its leaders, Emma Frost, the White Queen, also went to contact her.

Xavier trained superhuman mutants at his so-called School for Gifted Youngsters, whereas Frost was headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy, where she also secretly trained young superhuman mutants such as the Hellions in the use of their powers. Hence, Xavier and Frost would each approach Pryde and her parents as the heads of private schools seeking to recruit her as a talented student. Neither Xavier nor Frost intended to reveal to Kitty's parents that their daughter was a mutant.

Kitty herself was unaware that she was mutant or that she had a superhuman power until the afternoon that Frost arrived to speak to her parents. While Frost was downstairs, Kitty went to her room upstairs, suffering her worst headache ever. Lying on her bed, she closed her eyes, wishing the headache would stop. It did. Kitty opened her eyes, and, to her surprise, found herself lying on the floor of her living room. Without knowing it, Kitty had used her "phasing" power for the first time, and had passed through her bed and the floor into the room below.

As Frost left, Xavier and his three X-Men arrived. The three X-Men took Kitty to a local malt shop, where Kitty and Storm began what evolved into a close friendship. Suddenly three Hellfire Club mercenaries burst into the shop and attacked the X-Men. Surprised and frightened, Kitty moved out of the way and found herself passing through the wall. Landing outside, she fell unconscious since she was still not used to utilizing her power. The White Queen used her telepathic powers to overcome the three X-Men, whom the Hellfire Club took into their hovercraft.

But the brave Kitty had decided to snoop around the hovercraft before it took off, and discovered the X-Men were aboard as prisoners. Unwilling to desert her new friend Storm or the others, she hid aboard the craft and used her new powers to find the captive X-Men in the Frost Industries complex to which the White Queen had taken them. Storm gave Kitty the X-Men's phone number and asked her to summon help. But one of the Hellfire Club mercenaries spotted Pryde, and the White Queen ordered her capture. Using her powers, Pryde got away long enough to phone the number.

Two Hellfire Club mercenaries in a car were just about to capture Pryde in Chicago when they were halted by the Jean Grey version of Phoenix, who had just arrived with her fellow X-Men Cyclops and Nightcrawler in response to Kitty's message. Phoenix found and comforted the frightened Kitty, who told her story to her and her X-Men colleagues. Pryde then helped the X-Men and their ally, the Dazzler, in rescuing their captive colleagues.

Phoenix used her mental powers to calm Carmen Pryde's rage over his daughter's disappearance. Mr. and Mrs. Pryde allowed Kitty to join Xavier's school, and soon afterwards she became the first member of the X-Men's Reserve Team. She originally took the code name Sprite, but later changed it to Ariel.

Kitty's constant companion is the small, alien, dragon-like creature Lockheed, whom she met when the X-Men were on another planet.

Over time Kitty grew close to the X-Man Wolverine, who became a mentor to her. While in Japan, Kitty was captured and put under the mental control of Ogun, the martial arts master who had once been Wolverine's teacher but had since become his enemy. Wolverine undertook a crash program to teach Kitty to become skillful enough in the Japanese martial arts to contend against Ogun. At the end of her training Kitty assumed the new code name Shadowcat, which she still uses today.

During the massacre of the mutant Morlocks by the Marauders, the Marauder called Harthingy injured Shadowcat with his energy spear. It also adversely affected her powers so that she could no longer regain her solidity. She was cured by the combined efforts of Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four's Mister Fantastic.

Kitty's friendship with Storm has continued, but her best friend is Illyana Rasputin. Kitty at one time also had a crush on Illyana's older brother, the X-Man Colossus, this had since developed into firm friendship.

Deadpool scarcely shows his true physical appearance after it was mutilated horribly by experiments performed upon him by the sadistic Weapon X, he’s highly self-conscious about how he looks under his usual disguises and allows very few to see his highly scared face. His has no hair as it now fails to grow, similarly for a beard or a moustache, and has little choice in the matter. Usually he wears his standard suit- a black and scarlet affair that leaves to eye holes, which leaves his eyes seeming nothing more then white circles, the mask is unattached to the rest of the body suit. He is also adorned with brown leather pouches and belts for ammunition and weaponry, as well as a metal harness that helps with his teleportation device. His face mask also constructs the logo of Deadpool, seen on his belt buckle. Apart from this he also has a holographic system he can use to make up an appearance- this is used often for disguises when going undercover, but he also uses it for personal reasons.

Powers or Abilities
Deadpool has the normal strength of any human that takes part in extensive and intensive physical exercise. He’s well-practiced in many forms of both armed and unarmed combat, being a master marksman and swordsman as well as disciplined in the use of a large amount of weapons- to a point where he could use almost any. His only really ‘power’ would be a superhuman healing power that was derived from Wolverine’s during Weapon X- it isn’t a true mutation, more of a varying copy, it can sometimes exceed Wolverine’s. Other then this, most of Deadpools abilities are limited to manufactured gadgets, the most ingenious of which being his holographic disguises or his teleportation device. How ever, it is more likely that his associate Weasel made these inventions, not Deadpool himself. His mental instability is also backed up with a resistance to telepathy.

History
Deadpool originates from Canada, but little is known about him before the time where he volunteered himself for Weapon X. He had contracted terminal cancer which turned into an experiment where he was granted a cloned mutagenic healing factor from Wolverine’s DNA, this managed to keep his cancer at bay and also improve his physical health. But the mutant genes bonded with his and lead to him becoming both disfigured in appearance and mentally unstable. He was striken off as medical waste by the Canadian government project and was handed to a mental asylum where he was badly treated and the staff held a pool on who would live the longest, ultimately known as the ‘Deadpool’. Eventually they crossed a line and Wade fought his way out, killing most of the staff and taking the name Deadpool as his own.

His sense of humour intact, but essentially the rest of his personality tainted by his history, Deadpool became a very effective mercenary, essentially being a villain on the most part, bringing him to be an enemy to Cable, Wolverine and the X-force. Eventually he became a reluctant hero in several occasions, how ever, and it was discovered he also had friends, to which he was increasingly loyal too despite his moral ambiguity. (These friends were Blind Al, a seeming mother figure to his life, and Weasel, a side-kick and nerd who helped him regularly.) He spent an increasing amount of time in a mercenary hang out known as ‘Hell House’ which contracted several jobs, in which he ran into an increasing amount of other marvel characters- including Bullseye.

At one point it was believed that Deadpool had been killed during a fight with the aristocratic Black Swan. He went missing for a big amount of time, but eventually reappeared in toe with the Swan to confront Agent X. It turned out that the three- Agent X before being a man called Nijo- had been simultaneously resurrected after the battle with a combination of the Swan’s telepathic abilities and Deadpool’s healing factor, but eventually through another merging of their minds, all was righted.

Deadpool is currently partnered with Cable, a former enemy.

Deadpool knows that he is a fictional character and often makes comments towards the readers of his comic book, even often talking about how his products are going. He has an infatuation with former X-force member Siryn, which often borders on an obsession.
